Individuals around the globe believe that a success of a man is in the hands of the woman related with his life mainly in the form of a wife. And there’s the saying â€Å"behind every successful man stands a woman†. In the play of Macbeth, by William Shakespeare, the protagonist Macbeth rose to power as King of Scotland and then derived on a disastrous collapse as an outcome of outside influence by other characters and forces. His wife Lady Macbeth is solely in charge for Macbeth’s determination, and rise to power, which circuitously led him to his own deadly behavior in his hard work to take and retain control of the throne in Scotland. Lady Macbeth is responsible in three ways; giving false hope to her husband to become king, hearing her†¦show more content†¦However, as illustrated later, that was not the case as the plot widely spread. Moreover, while trying to assassinate Duncan, some problems arose such as the servants as witnesses, Banquo and Flean ce that supposed Macbeth. Later, after they Duncan had been killed, Macbeth realized that his plan was unraveling as people were starting to unsure him in the murder, and he was not safe as King yet. Therefore, he had to employ new assassinations and plots in order to just keep own stability and security. For example, â€Å"We have scorch’d the snake, not kill’d it† (Shakespeare 3.2. 13-13). Therefore, Macbeth plotted the murders of Banquo and Fleance, because Macbeth had been told Banquo’s children would be King. Additionally, he also decided to kill Macduff’s wife and children in revenge for Macduff actually fleeing Scotland. Thus, Macbeth had to do several new murders to cover up for all of the other homicides that had been initially propelled because of Lady Macbeth. In his rise to power, Macbeth did not personally have the ambition to take the throne or plot to take action to personally give himself an opportunity to take the throne. Furthermore, after Macbeth heard the prophecies of the witches, he did not possess the ambition to act to acquire the crown.
